American Sign Language (ASL) - Level 1

In this class you will learn ASL (American Sign Language) beginner/basic signs for everyday conversation. We will also explore different sign language modalities as well as Deaf Culture, Deaf identity and Deaf history. This class will be taught by Deaf/Hard of Hearing community members and will be a safe space for queer lived experiences and neurodiversity. Jaylee identifies as a Deaf and Non-Binary Queer person and has their Masters degree in Deaf Education.

Adults and teens 16+ (ages 13 - 15 are welcome to attend along with a paid parent attending as well)

The class will run for 6 weeks starting June 19 through July 24 and will occur weekly on Mondays from 6 - 7 pm at Shenanigans Comedy Theatre. All materials will be included in the cost of the class.
