Everyone's a critic. And at Unsavory Cinema, we empower you to embrace that side of yourself to riff on a famous B-Movie along with your friends and perfect strangers. There will be trivia and prizes for keen eyed viewers who can pay attention to the finest details of the celluloid shlock on display. And the grand prize goes to the wittiest quip of the night.
This month at Unsavory Cinema we're changing things up. Instead of a so-bad-its-good B-Movie we're screening a so-GOOD-its-good B-Movie. The film in question is John Carpenter's Big Trouble in Little China, a magically fantastic adventure that mostly exists to take the piss out of John Wayne. Kurt Russell plays the hapless Jack Burton who tries his best to help out his effortlessly competent friend Wang save a couple of girlfriends from the maniacal immortal Lo Pan. Fast paced and goofy as hell, this movie may be better than the rest but there's still plenty to make fun of this November's Unsavory Cinema.
