Dr Gene Sharp has been referred to as “The Machiavelli of Non-Violent Resistance”. While the word “Revolution” is in the title, his ideas have been applied to everything from union negotiations, to protests, to authoritarian regimes. The current American playbook for resistance is heavily dependent on constitutional rights which are no longer guaranteed. Dr Sharp has a set of 198 methods of nonviolent resistance that have been used in every successful revolution since Burma in the early 90s. His work is banned by dictators everywhere and his book From Dictatorship To Democracy has been translated into over 30 languages. He is the most important man that you've never heard of.

The movie will be screened with a brief introduction and a short presentation afterwards on small, but significant ways, to start resisting immediately. Concessions will be available at the theater.
