American Sign Language (ASL) - Level 2

To attend this class, you should have either taken our Level 1 class or have a basic knowledge of ASL, including the alphabet. 

The purpose of this course is to enable students to continue learning and to acquire proficiency in American Sign Language through a linguistic, communicative and cultural approach. Emphasis is placed on the development of receptive and expressive signing skills. An exposure to the deaf and hard of hearing culture will be included.

 This class will be taught by Deaf/Hard of Hearing community members and will be a safe space for queer lived experiences and neurodiversity. Jaylee identifies as a Deaf and Non-Binary Queer person and has their Masters degree in Deaf Education.

Adults and teens 16+ (ages 13 - 15 are welcome to attend along with a paid parent attending as well)

The class will run for 6 weeks starting June 19 and going through July 24. Class will occur weekly on Mondays from 7 - 8 pm at Shenanigans Comedy Theatre. All materials will be included in the cost of the class.
